Eagle Moccasin Stocking
Eagle Moccasin Stocking
SL10018 ~ $9.99

Eagle Moccasin Stocking cross stitch pattern...I decided to try something new when designing this stocking. I wanted the eagle on a black stocking to resemble a high top moccasin but I wanted the name on a lighter color so I combined both. I divided the pine cones and pine branches chart in half horizontally and stitched half on each color of Aida cloth, then I "sewed" both top and bottom together by matching up the stitches with the chart and using a backstitching motion on the reverse side. This was not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be, it was quite simple in fact. When the pieces were joined I used straight stitches to form the pines needles which cover up the seam line quite nicely.

  • 190 x 240 stitches.
  • Number of colors: 25
  • Difficulty level: Medium
  • Finished size is 12" x 16.5" (30.48 cm x 41.91 cm) stitched on 14-count Black Aida cloth and 14-count Fiddler's cloth. Top and bottom are stitched separately and joined together and then pine needles straight stitches are applied over the cross stitches.

Pattern contains:
  1. Full colored package label
  2. Stitching chart with symbols and full color lines for placement of backing stitching, placement line for mock opening fringe created with trimmed Turkey Work, pine needle straight stitches and large dots that indicate placement of the Conchos.
  3. Top of stocking is stitched on 14-count Fiddlers cloth and bottom on 14-count Black Aida cloth. The chart indicates the joining of the stocking top and bottom with a red line across the chart.
  4. Complete stitching instructions including symbols, color blocks for floss and illustrated instructions for  forming the stitches used in the design and joining the top and bottom of the stocking.
  5. Alphabet chart to personalize your stocking.
